Macaroni Not Pasta

 When I was young, I never heard the word pasta used to describe macaroni products.  These dehydrated, flour noodles were known as spaghetti or macaroni or noodles.  That feels rather Yankee to me.  Like the song, “I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy”.

“Stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni.”  I haven’t called pasta macaroni in like decades. 😂
