Entering The Witch’s Nest 🧙♀️ & Easter Reflections
Kate and I arrived early for a Bungee Fitness class that we were taking for the first time. Since we had some time to kill and the “Witches Nest” was open, we decided to pop in to check it out. 😲 We met and talked with the two people who were there. They were both nice and friendly. One was a young guy and the other was, I believe, a woman but I’m not sure. This person may have had a unique gender identity. I do apologize if I am wrong and I mean no offense to anyone. Anyway, the place was interesting. They have this back room lounge and they say that anyone is welcome to come visit and relax and spend time there, even if they are not there to purchase anything like a tarot card or psychic reading. This is definitely something very different and unique within a business. We decided to walk back to the lounge to check it out. I noticed another smaller room off of the lounge. I walked over to peek through the doorway and see what the room was. I saw a table and could immediately see that it was their place for services such as their psychic and tarot card readings. As I stood in the doorway and was peeking into the room, they reacted and they were like, “Oh my God, no no! Don’t go in there!” I quickly apologized and they said, “It’s OK you’re fine.” As soon as I looked in from the doorway and saw the table, I would not have entered the room because I could see that it was their space and not a space for visitors. They explained that the room was indeed where they do readings and that they are careful to cleanse and keep the room cleansed between clients. I knew they were speaking of cleansing the room as in a psychic or supernatural energy sense. I had seen their sage type cleansing stuff in the front where there are items to be sold. I even, out of curiosity, asked them if they offered cleansing services for homes experiencing paranormal presence situations. They said they did. (The skeptic in me just thought that they would probably offer anything that anyone asked for involving the supernatural or witchcraft. Who knows, if someone asked for a special potion to be made into a tea, they might offer that they do create them. 🫢😂) On a more serious note, I did explain that I was just curious and that I wasn’t experiencing any issues myself. I am actually personally knowledgeable and no stranger to these things from my own past experiences including a very real and unexplainable experience with paranormal activity in the home of a family whose children I cared for. I was just one of the people who all shared in experiencing the paranormal presence and situation that was taking place. I have a life theme of strange but true stories. It’s an atypical life tale I suppose. 🥴 How could my life be anything else, really, because I am anything but typical.
As far as psychic readings, I am a complete skeptic about the vast majority of it. I have always believed that most commercial tarot and psychic readings are total BS. I believe all the call and have a psychic reading over the phone stuff is a total scam. I also believe in the existence of real stuff. Who knows. One never knows when they might encounter legitimacy. And speaking of tarot card readings I have an interesting story. But that’s another story. Anyway, the “Witch’s Nest” has been somewhat demystified. I would go back to the “Witch’s Nest” if they did anything interesting like teaching a class or conducting some psychic or witch parlor like experience. Or having a witch’s tea or something. 😂 They don’t have anything like that though. Not that we were told anyway.
OK, I would definitely call this a freedom of expression tale. It’s a “what’s in my consciousness” kind of tale. And good grief, I’m afraid my own head is a strange place. 🥴
A long time ago, something really significant struck me about the existence of the shop called the “Witches Nest”. To the people in the community who lived through the Salem Witch trials, they would not have even been able to fathom or comprehend that such a place could ever exist and exist safely with no person under any threat of accusation, judgment, imprisonment or execution. I know my head is a strange place.
I can see that these reflections are a bit strange to have in my head right before Easter Day. I don’t feel any guilt though for making a life choice to not actively practice any religion, so it just is what it is.
I don’t have to worship Jesus and be religious to believe in the moral and spiritual goodness of the historical Jesus and be committed to desiring and seeking to achieve the same in myself. Maybe just maybe people can seek to walk in this path without religion if they so choose.
Maybe I can celebrate Easter in my own way and believe in the man Jesus whatever his true story may have been.
Wow, there is a long overdue rain storm here right now that has included rumblings of thunder, but I just heard a crack of lightning that literally made me jump. It sounded very loud and close. There can indeed be thunderstorms on Easter. It’s just nature. 🐇🐣🌷 ⛈️ 🌧️ 🌩️ 🍫 🍬 🙏 🥚 👒 🥓
Darn emojis. Often when an emoji is missing, you have to pick something else close.
