Our Country Needs National Health Insurance

Our country needs national health care. This is my next brilliant thought bestowed to my thinking,

Now, if Mr. Trump wanted to leave something of a positive legacy for himself, establishing national health care would be a most amazing thing that he could do for our country and the American people.

This would elevate and improve the lives of the American people a million or billion times better than a grand ballroom that virtually none of the American people will ever set foot in.  Now, if only Mr. Trump could be convinced that a gift of healthcare for all Americans would mean the world to them and not a White House ballroom.  Now, if only he could grasp the sentiments of kindness and empathy and be able to actually connect with the American people and seek to be of service to them, that would be a true miracle.

To me, this is not a republican or democrat thing.  And it is not even a political thing.  It is just the knowledge that in a truly successful and great nation, people would all have access to healthcare to meet their healthcare needs.  This is not politics in my mind and opinion.  It is just a “What is the most amazing thing that a great nation could provide to its citizens?!” thing.  As things stand in the United States of America, healthcare is becoming unfordable to even those with supposedly good health healthcare insurance.  The cost of healthcare is out of control and the copayments, deductibles and remaining patient responsibility amounts place an unreasonable and unaffordable financial burden during times of injury or illness on even for those with “good” medical insurance.  And this speaks nothing about the increasing inaccessibility of medical care to those without employment medical benefits who lack the means to purchase medical coverage.  Affordability in healthcare really doesn’t exist anymore. What a pity that investing in an offensive foreign war has been a priority over an “America First” commitment to serving Americans and the needs of the American people.

Thank you to the, “state of American healthcare”, guru in my head.
