A Wow Thought
I just had this insight that perhaps Mr. Trump’s newfound enthusiasm for being the president of other countries and for his belief that he can make these countries great for their people, is deep down within him an attempt to open his heart just a little to the value of the world’s other non American human beings and to their decency as human beings.
I think Mr. Trump has a level of confusion between his feelings of admiration and respect for people (especially powerful leaders or beautiful women) of other nationalities and ethnicities and also his feelings of disdain and mistrust of others that he does not understand and has never connected with. It was crazy how he felt so much disdain and adversarial sentiment toward Zohran Mamdani and then he had this pleasant experience of really connecting with and finding commonalities and liking him when meeting and speaking with him in person.
I hope he never lets go of the connection that he felt with mayor Mom, Donnie. Oh crap, that speech to text error came out looking like some Freudian slip of the text. I meant of course to write Mayor Mamdani.
I have tried to listen to parts of the book about Donald Trump written by his niece Mary, and I learned about how Mr. Trump’s mother became ill and unable to care for him when he was a two year-old, and he had no substitute in any other emotionally available & nurturing caregiver.
And a final thought is that I can understand having confusion about when capitalization should and should not be used. I guess I have always had some kind of mental block against learning and remembering these rules. I frequently find myself having to search to check whether or not capitalization should be used in different instances. I do, though, know not to shout and capitalize everything.
